The Marine Corps League
Welcome to the Marine Corps League Cabarrus Detachment 1175 website!
Have you been looking for a way to get back in touch with former Marines? Trying to find a venue to give back to the Corps since being discharged or retiring? Like to get a sense of the old camaraderie that you felt when you were in, but has since disappeared from your life?
Well, this is the place.
Join us for dinner and a meeting the first Monday of each month at Troutmans BBQ in Concord. Membership is $30 per year, and we assist injured and fallen Marines in this area, in addition to various other League projects like assisting the Toys for Tots Program.
Come once to visit old friends and experience the League. Join if you feel called to do so. We look forward to sharing a meal with you!

Our Marine League Detachment has been featured in a story on WBT TV (local channel CBS). Bob Cole, our past Sr. Vice Commandant, stepped up at a recent meeting and got our detachments attention about stolen property from Habitat for Humanity. We passed the hat and collected $300 to help replace the stolen goods. WBT TV sent a report out to interview Bob and Habitat. It is a great story, not just of Bob and Habitat, but for the whole Marine Corps League and Marines everywhere.

The Mission of the Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
Last year our detachment collected thousands of toys and received more than $1000 in cash donations to provide a toy to a needy child in Cabarrus County.
Would you like to help us in our effforts this coming year? If so, please email Alex Bishop at alex28078@msn.com or Kenny Brandon at marykennybrandon@earthlink.net. We are always looking for help in this area, and could use more volunteers. Please be sure to take a look at some of the pictures on the NEWS page of our website from last years campaign.
